Just in the knick of time before Spring officially turns to Summer (tomorrow), I wanted to share my recipe for my Garden Gimlet. Snap peas are still in season and this is a delightfully refreshing cocktail.
This beautiful painting named The Lustre Bowl with Green Peas is by Sir William Nicholson at the National Gallery in Scotland. I love how the peas are captured in the reflection of the bowl.
To make it NA: Add a little more zesty lemon!

Last month, I went to the English countryside to explore many a garden. There were so many kitchen gardens bursting with rhubarb, peas, and summer fruit ready to ripen.
These chive blossoms are part of the kitchen garden at Barnsley House, the former home of English gardener and writer Rosemary Verey. It has now been turned into a hotel that is lovely to visit for a cup of tea and stroll around the garden.
